A SHORT HISTORY OF EAGLES AIRSOFT TEAM – How it all began



It was in June 2005 when we played our very first airsoft wargames at the abandoned TB Pavillon located in Marisol village, Angeles city. We started out with ACM airsoft guns then, we were using double eagle M83, Both Elephant Steyr AUG, and springer pistols. Not being satisfied with the range of our weapons, we upgraded started ubegan upgrading our ACM steyr AUGs by replacing the spring with the ones used in springer shotguns. The pioneer/nucleus members of the team are as follows:

-Lionheart – Led the first game, organized and coined the name for the team.
-Alvin Mariano – One of the first players at the TB Pavillon, Marisol Village Angeles City.
-Lito “Pogi” Ibanez – wala lang, liaison officer of the team.
-Albert Mariano – well, what can I say…
-Ryan Amante – Second batch members
-Rommel Canlas – Second batch members
-Lester “Tey” Canlas – First gunsmith of the team
-Banong – team comedian

After the first game at the TB Pavillon, Marisol Village in Angeles City. After that first game, we played for sometime in a 2 hectare farm land planted with lemon (kalamansi) shrubs in Mt. View, Pulong Maragul (Owned by Lionheart’s family). By August 2005 the team had transferred its game venue at True North, Clark. In October of that same year our gamesite had been moved to the abandoned hospital building in Clark

By then, some of the members had upgraded their guns from ACM to high end airsoft AEGs. It was in February 12, 2006 that Lionheart coined the name EAGLES Airsoft Team for the group, membership at that time had risen to more than 40. In August 20, 2006 the team hosted a fellowship game in which more than 150 participants came to join the exchange of BBs held at the Abandoned Hospital gamesite.

Currently, EAGLES – Pampanga regularly play in two gamesites within Clark Special Economic Zone – the Abandoned Hospital site and the True North site. And with the membership of Marino in the team came the third and biggest EAGLES’ gamesite which is still awaiting more exploration by the team – the Armenia Gamesite.

The team is governed by a COUNCIL of officers appointed by the founding chairman. Current members of the Council are:
